As we all know, UV aging test chambers are composed of many components. In fact, there are also some auxiliary accessories that may be used during the operation of the equipment. The use of these accessories can make the testing process smoother. Today, I would like to introduce several such accessories to you.
Pure Water Filtration Device: It is widely understood that testing equipment requires the use of pure water or filtered water. Therefore, a UV aging test chamber can be equipped with a pure water filtration device to filter the water. Typically, an automatic water replenishment valve and a manual water replenishment drawer are installed in the water supply tank beneath the testing equipment. If a filtration device is installed, the automatic water replenishment valve can be connected to a pressurized water source. Once the water tank is low on water, the equipment’s water inlet solenoid valve can be opened, allowing filtered tap water to enter the storage tank.
Automatic Light Protection Device: Due to the special nature of this testing equipment, to prevent harm to the human body from UV exposure when the equipment is opened during testing, a photoelectric proximity switch can be installed on the front and rear cover doors of the UV aging test chamber. Once the chamber door is accidentally opened, the UV lamp illumination function can be automatically turned off. When the chamber door is closed again, the UV lamp will resume illumination.
Irradiance Meter: This instrument can be used to measure real-time irradiance. Currently, there are both handheld and installed irradiance meters available. The handheld irradiance meter is used in combination with a probe and a display screen. When the fluorescent tube is illuminating normally and the chamber door is opened, an irradiance meter with the same wavelength band and range as the tube can be selected on the display screen according to the tube’s wavelength. Place the probe on the measurement hole of the sample holder, and the real-time irradiance will be displayed on the screen. For the installed irradiance meter, its photosensitive probe is installed inside the chamber, facing the fluorescent tube. The distance between the probe and the tube is kept consistent with the distance between the tube and the sample. The irradiance value in this configuration will be displayed on the touch controller.
The above three are auxiliary accessories that can be applied to UV aging test chambers. Customers can use them in combination according to their actual needs.
