The photovoltaic wet freezing test chamber is suitable for PV modules (solar panels) to conduct thermal cycling, wet-freeze cycling, and dual 85 tests (high temperature and high humidity).
It is used to confirm whether the modules can withstand the negative temperature effects following high temperature and high humidity conditions, as well as the fatigue and thermal failure caused by repeated temperature changes.
Additionally, it determines the thermal stress generated when PV modules are exposed to high humidity and their ability to resist long-term moisture penetration. This equipment is an essential testing device in the PV module industry.

Test Methods for Module IEC 61646:
a.Thermal Cycling Test
Purpose: To determine the ability of the module to withstand thermal mismatch, fatigue, and different stresses caused by repeated temperature changes.
The module is cycled between temperatures of -40℃±2℃ and +85℃±2℃. The temperature change between the highest and lowest temperatures shall not exceed 100℃/h.
b.Damp Heat-Freeze Test
Purpose: To determine the ability of the module to withstand the effects of high temperature and high humidity, followed by sub-zero temperatures.
The module is subjected to temperature changes between +85℃ and 25℃ at a rate not exceeding 100℃/h, and between 25℃ and -40℃ at a rate not exceeding 200℃/h.
c.Damp Heat Test
Purpose: To determine the ability of the module to withstand long-term moisture penetration.
Test Temperature**: 85℃±2℃
Test Humidity**: 85%±5%
Test Duration**: 1000 hours
Control system:
The photovoltaic (PV) wet-freeze test chamber features a true-color 7.0-inch (North Carolina) TFT LCD touch screen controller with Chinese and English display options.
When setting up programs, users only need to configure the temperature and time parameters, without the need to enter additional instructions for the compressor or other components.
The PV wet-freeze test chamber has the following capabilities:
It can store 1000 programs, with each program consisting of up to 1000 steps and 100 cycles, and it also features a function to link 10 groups of programs.
It is equipped with 1 USB interface and 1 LAN communication interface, which allow users to monitor the test process and perform functions such as automatic power on and off.
It uses PID automatic calculation and FUZZY control, and it has functions for data acquisition, export, and viewing of graphs.
Refrigeration system:
The refrigeration unit of the photovoltaic wet freezing test chamber uses a fully enclosed compressor from Tecumseh, France.
(The compressor operates with automatic step control based on high and low temperature points to reduce energy consumption and extend the compressor's service life.)
Refrigerant: Non-fluorinated environmentally friendly refrigerant (Dupont R-404A, R-23 from the USA).
Condenser: Water-cooled shell and tube type (the installation of the cooling water tower and its system is to be provided by the customer).
Evaporator: Finned multi-stage evaporator with automatic load capacity adjustment.
Expansion System: A refrigeration system with capacity control using a solenoid valve and expansion valve.
