The ozone aging test chamber, also known as the ozone aging test machine, is used for rubber products such as vulcanized rubber, thermoplastic rubber, cable insulation sheaths, etc. These products are subjected to static tensile deformation and exposed to a constant temperature environment in a sealed, light-free chamber with a constant ozone concentration. After a predetermined period of testing, the degree of cracking on the surface of the test samples or other changes in performance are used to assess the ozone resistance of the rubber. The test samples are tested in a sealed chamber with constant ozone concentration and temperature for a specified period of time.

Ozone in the atmosphere is present in very small amounts but is a major factor in the cracking of rubber. The ozone aging chamber simulates and intensifies the ozone conditions in the atmosphere to study the effects of ozone on rubber.
