How to Handle Interruptions During Dust Chamber Testing

Source:LINPIN Time:2026-04-02 Category:Industry News

The dust resistance capabilities of components such as door locks, headlights, electrical dust covers, and instrument panels can be evaluated using dust chambers. These chambers simulate dust environments artificially to assess the protective performance of test specimens. Currently, this testing equipment finds extensive application in the automotive industry. During operation, users may encounter issues such as interruptions during testing. When a dust chamber experiences an interruption during the test cycle, there are primarily three scenarios. The following diagnostic and remedial procedures should be implemented accordingly.

There are three distinct situations that may cause interruptions during dust chamber testing:
I. Interruption Caused by Inadequate Test Conditions
If the chamber was operating under insufficient test conditions (below the permissible error tolerance), the interruption requires immediate adjustment of the test parameters to meet the specified requirements. Only after achieving the prescribed test conditions can the test cycle be completed and normal operation resumed.
II. Interruption Within the Tolerance Range
When an interruption occurs within the equipment’s tolerance range, the interruption duration shall be counted as part of the total test duration. No additional corrective action is required in this instance.
III. Interruption Caused by Excessive Test Conditions
Should the chamber be operating under excessive test conditions, it is advisable to terminate the test and restart with a new test specimen. However, if the excessive conditions have not resulted in characteristic damage to the specimen, or if the specimen can be repaired, the test conditions should be adjusted to conform to the standard specifications before continuing.
Through the above explanation, users should now understand the appropriate procedures for handling dust chamber interruptions. If the equipment remains inoperative after implementing these methods, technical support from the manufacturer should be sought. The formaldehyde VOC environmental test chamber is primarily used to detect formaldehyde content in building materials, artificial panels, curtains, carpets, and other products.
Safety always serves as the cornerstone of equipment operation, and for specialized equipment like high and low temperature shock test chambers, safety considerations are of utmost importance. Below, we will elaborate on the key safety points that require special attention during the use of high and low temperature shock test chambers.
A super low temperature test chamber is a device used to simulate the performance and reliability of products under low-temperature conditions.
Before putting constant temperature and humidity test chambers into service, some inspection work is essential.
As a testing device that simulates atmospheric corrosion environments, the salt spray test chamber, like other equipment, requires operators to follow specific procedures to ensure smooth and accurate testing, personnel safety, equipment protection, and extended service life.
