Sharing: Common Components of UV Aging Test Chambers

Source:LINPIN Time:2025-04-09 Category:Industry News

A UV aging test chamber is composed of many components, each playing an indispensable role. Today, we will introduce some of the common components.

1. Fluorescent Lamps
Fluorescent lamps are a crucial component of UV aging test chambers because the equipment uses them as the light source. Common types of fluorescent lamps include UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C, which are differentiated by their ultraviolet wavelengths:

UV-A: Wavelength of 320–400 nm (used for light curing).
UV-B: Wavelength of 290–320 nm (medium wavelength).
UV-C: Wavelength of 200–280 nm (used for disinfection and sterilization).
The test chamber typically uses UV-B lamps, with two rows installed inside, each containing four lamps. The energy output of fluorescent lamps decreases over time. To minimize the impact of energy reduction on tests, when one-quarter of the lamp’s lifespan has elapsed, one old lamp in each row should be replaced with a new one. Regular replacement ensures stable energy output.

2. Black Panel Thermometer
This instrument consists of a 7.5 cm × 1 cm × 0.25 cm black aluminum plate connected to a temperature sensor. Its primary function is to measure the test temperature.

3. Sample Holder
Used to place test specimens, this component includes a cushioning plate, frame base, and tension springs. The frame base and cushioning plate are made of aluminum alloy.

4. Radiometer
Depending on test requirements, a radiometer is used to measure radiation levels. Common types include cumulative illuminance meters and radiometers.

The above introduces some key components of UV aging test chambers. Understanding these details helps optimize the use of the equipment. UV aging test chambers are widely used in environmental testing for products such as mobile phone accessories, automotive parts, and electronics. They are also applicable in specialized fields like military and aerospace.

Our company is a manufacturer of environmental testing equipment, offering chambers in small, medium, and large sizes. For inquiries, please call 400-066-2888 to purchase.

A constant temperature and humidity test chamber consists of multiple components, and any malfunction can disrupt testing. Previously, we discussed troubleshooting methods for other issues. Today, we focus on expansion valve failures.
Temperature shock test chambers on the market are divided into two main types. One type is the two-chamber model, which includes a high-temperature zone and a low-temperature zone.
With the continuous tightening of ingress-protection requirements in automotive electronics, low-voltage power distribution and photovoltaic industries, repeatable, quantifiable and traceable artificial-rain testing has replaced the traditional “splash-and-inspect” approach and become the core means of verifying sealing performance.
The temperature shock test chamber, also known as a thermal shock test chamber or high-low temperature impact test chamber, is a device used to simulate extreme temperature variations under controlled environmental conditions.
When conducting tests with a sand and dust test chamber, there are primarily three processes involved. Some clients may not be familiar with these processes during initial consultations. Today, we will introduce these three processes and their corresponding temperature and humidity requirements.
