MIL-STD-202G standard establishes a unified approach for the testing of electronic and electrical components, including basic environmental testing to determine the resistance to natural factors and the adverse effects of the surrounding conditions of military operations, as well as physical and electrical testing. For this standard, the term "the element" includes a capacitor, a resistor, a switch, a relay, a transformer, an inductor, and the like. This standard applies only to small parts,300 pounds or to a root mean square test voltage of up to 50,000 volts, unless otherwise specified. The test method described herein is prepared for the following purposes.

Test requirements. The requirements that components affected by the test method described in this article must meet are specified in each specification. In the event of conflict between this standard and the personal specification, the personal specification shall prevail.

Unless otherwise specified in this agreement or in individual specifications, all measurements and STS shall be made at temperatures from 15°C to 35°C (59 F to 950F) and at ambient air pressure and relative humidity. In order to obtain repeatable results, these conditions must be strictly controlled at all times, with a temperature of 25°C,  a relative humidity of 50%, and atmospheric pressure of 50 to 80 mm hg for reference.

In the salt spray test, the sample is placed in the fine fog of the salt solution, and in the case of full recognition of its defects and limitations, the salt spray test has several useful purposes.

The instruments used in salt spray test shall include the following:
a. Exposure chamber with a bracket or fixing device used to support a sample.

b. Reservoir containing a salt solution for monitoring sufficient concentration of the solution.

c. Method of atomizing salt solution, including suitable nozzle and compressed air supply.

d. Room heating device and control device.

e. The chamber and all accessories shall be made of materials that do not affect the corrosion of the salt environment, such as glass, rigid rubber or plastic. All parts of the test device in contact with the sample shall be made of materials that do not cause electrolytic corrosion.

The chamber and accessories should be constructed and arranged, and there are no direct impact spray or drop condensation specimens, so all specimens of free atmospheric circulation are returned to the salt solution reservoir to the same extent, so no liquid contact samples are returned to the salt solution reservoir. The combustion chamber should be properly ventilated to prevent pressure accumulation and allow uniform distribution of salt fog. The combustion chamber shall have an appropriate method of heating and maintaining the required test temperature.

Air supply. The compressed air entering the atomizer shall be free of oil, dirt and other impurities. Methods for humidifying and heating compressed air shall be provided to satisfy the operating conditions. When atomizers are used, the air pressure shall be suitable for producing a fine mist.

To prevent salt deposition from blocking the atomizer, the relative humidity of the air when released from the nozzle should be between 95%and 98%. A satisfactory method is to pass air through a tower containing hot water in very fine air bubbles. The water temperature shall be 95°F(35°C)or higher. The allowable temperature increases with the increase of the air volume, and decreases with the decrease of the thermal insulation property and the ambient temperature.

It should not exceed one value, beyond which too much moisture is introduced into the room (for example, .109F (43.3 °C), that is, when the air pressure is 12 pounds per square inch.

At the end of the test, please keep the test box clean and maintained on a regular basis. Any after-sale problems can be contacted at any time.sales@lenpure.com
